They never wear out

About 25 years ago I purchased two John Smedley’s Sea Island cotton shirts for what was then a lot of money to wear as best.

So over the years you move them from being saved for best to becoming normal everyday wear and stop looking after them quite so well. And yet, they are still going strong, have not lost their shape or colour and have no holes in them at all.

For a shirt which feels so soft and appears so delicate I find this hard to believe, and they still fit me too !
