An Everlasting Love Affair

My first ever Smedley item was a lilac crew-neck sea island cotton long sleeved jumper, which was handed down to me. I was fascinated by the loose hang, and the exceptional quality that I’d never seen before. That began a 25 year love affair that’s never let me down, unlike many affairs of the heart, and 2 marriages.

Bower is my favourite, I have all colours for all occasions, along with t-shirts and vests for when the days and nights get chilly. It’s a joke now with my partner, “guess what I’ve bought!” Eyes roll, and the reply of “John Smedley. I’m glad it’s a jumper you love so much and not another woman, you’d have left me years ago!” Nothing comes close to the quality of a John Smedley.
